# S1 SERIES BIBLE — "Republican Socialism Is Bad For America"
**Authored:** 2026-09-02 (spock-opencode, planning lane). **Status:** planning + research; no TTS/renders fired from this doc.
**Kirk spine decision (2026-09-02):** MERGE ANDREI PIPELINE INTO S1. Andrei's rendered farm episode is canon in this series.

---

## 1. THE SERIES PREMISE (fixed, load-bearing)

**Thesis (producer's framing, factbase:7):** Republican administrations do socialism-style
government (nationalizing, equity stakes, industrial-scale spending, regulatory capture,
automatic corporate payments) while selling anti-government. Find facts + steelman.

**The definitional frame (from Andrei EP1 "The Brand Fraud" draft, verified craft):**
if socialism means the government guarantees an outcome the market would not produce —
public money flowing automatically to a private party whether or not the market cooperates —
then the GOP programs qualify. The programmes it is contrasted against flow to CITIZENS.
Same mechanism, opposite beneficiary, opposite vocabulary. **That contrast IS the series.**

**The two registers (per LAUNDER_FREE standard, andrei_avatar/episode1 header):**
T1 statutory/verbatim facts are NEVER spoken in the register of T4 characterization.
Every T1 line is a verbatim quote from a primary source on disk. No orphan numbers.

---

## 2. THE MERGED PRODUCTION GRAMMAR (two shapes, one series)

**Shape A — Receipt-cards explainer (S1 EP01–EP10 current pipeline).**
smm pipeline: factbase → master script (FACT — source — quote — tag) → episode_spec →
cards/presenter/composite → ready_to_publish. 720–1080s narration band. Presenter ≤18%.
Dual-lens + CRAFT verdicts. ENTERTAINMENT_DOCTRINE T1–T8.

**Shape B — Character cast (Andrei grammar).** THE BILL speaks only verbatim sourced text
plus true structural facts about itself (what it contains, what was amended, what section,
which clause is never invoked). BESSIE/SAL discovery carries the argument. Cast rules from
andrei_avatar/episode1/THE_BILL_ARC.md + RESTRUCTURE_NO_MANSPLAIN.md:
- Discovery → the naive cast member (Bessie), who reads her OWN paperwork.
- Authority/steelman → Sal, who means it.
- Nobody explains anything to Bessie. She reads.
- The Bill's grief is structural, never editorial.

**Series rule:** Shape B is the craft upgrade target for future episodes' signature segments
(a "THE BILL" beat — the statute or bill itself reading its own text — is importable into any
Shape A episode as the E4 steelman/verdict device). One series, one receipts standard, two
render grammars.

## 4. EP07 MERGE TASK (the next build — spec'd here so subagents inherit it)

**Goal:** one flagship ~12–14 min episode combining:
- **Andrei EP1 material:** CCC 1933 origin, nonrecourse MAL/LDP mechanism (FSA fact sheet
verbatim), Reagan cheese statement (Dec 22 1981, archive audio), THE BILL cast arc
(forfeiture clause grief), 12-short cut map material (S1–S12).
- **EP07 catalog material (now fully receipted by factbase_EP07_addendum.md):** the 2025-26
loop in the government's own words — Federal Register: "Imposition of tariffs and delayed
purchases have affected the ability of U.S. producers to export, thus reducing domestic
  prices of 2025 crops" → soybeans-to-China ~18Mmt vs 26.8Mmt 2024 (lowest since 2018) →
$12B bailout announced Dec 8 2025 (FBA program, CCC Charter Act §5(b), $10.998B cost
  estimate, $155K cap, enrollment Feb 23–Apr 17 2026) → MFP 2018-19 precedent ($28B).

**Merge rules (binding):**
1. LAUNDER_FREE applies: statutory text speaks only verbatim (either grammar).
2. The 90-second cliffhanger grid + T1–T8 apply to the merged cut (workbook governs runtime band 720–1080s).
3. The Andrei cast's mechanism story (1933→1981→2025) is the EDUCATIONAL spine; the $12B numbers are the RECEIPTS spine. Both stay.
4. The EP07 factbase addendum is the fact source for everything post-2018; andrei sources/
for the mechanism era. No orphan numbers from either.
5. Output: ONE episode (EP07), master + 9:16 + 1:1; the Andrei 611s master becomes source
material/archival, superseded by the merged cut.

## 5. SEASON SCALING — toward Kirk's "over 40"

**Kirk memory:** 40+ episodes planned previously. Disk truth: 10 catalog + 1 Andrei. No 40-ep
artifact found on disk. The scaling plan therefore starts from the confirmed 11 and grows by
fanout idea-mining + Kirk approval (K8 gate from ELECTION_DAY_PLAN.md still applies: series
additions are Kirk-approved; extensible catalog).

**Idea-mining fanout (this wave):** 3 subagents mining distinct seams, each returning
ranked episode candidates in the factbase-preflight format (topic, thesis, strongest known
receipt class, steelman source, season-fit). Ideas are NOT episodes until Kirk picks and a
factbase exists.

**Seam 1 — Corporate socialism survey lanes (same thesis, new industries):** defense
contractors (contracts+equity+revolving door), fossil fuels (leases below market,
Strategic Petroleum Reserve swings, royalty holidays), crypto/tech (stock, CHIPS-for-AI),
agriculture beyond row crops (crop insurance privatization profits), housing/real-estate
(investor tax treatment), healthcare middlemen (PBMs,Medicare Advantage overcoding),
 telecom/spectrum, auto bailouts history→present.
**Seam 2 — Mechanism anatomy:** the CCC itself (mandatory funding, no vote), crop
insurance (A&O + premium subsidy), Opportunity Zones, Opportunity Zone funds, QOZ
tax shelter, disaster aid patterns, tariff-exemption lobbying, regulatory capture case files.
**Seam 3 — Definitional deep-cuts:** "What is socialism, actually?" (the definitional
episode, factbase:59), the vocabulary asymmetry (corporate payments named "incentives,"
citizen aid called "entitlements"), TARP vs student debt framing, PPP vs SNAP.

## 6. STANDING DISCIPLINE (unchanged, restated for new subagents)

- Fact line format: `- FACT — <claim> — <Source> (<url>) — "<verbatim quote>" — VERIFIED|SINGLE-SOURCE|UNVERIFIED`
- 401/403 = bot wall (proves nothing — try Wayback/syndication). Only 404 proves absence.
- No orphan numbers. No invented quotes. Steelman verbatim, attributed, honored before answer.
- CBO data is on GitHub (us-cbo/cbo-data + debtwelfare) — use raw.githubusercontent.com; cbo.gov is Cloudflare-walled.
- WIP=1 in render; parallel OK in research/script. Kirk sees finished masters only (feedback_no_incomplete_artifacts).
- Dual-lens + CRAFT verdict lines end every worksheet (DELIVERY_PLAYBOOK.md Part 4).

— The series has one thesis, one receipts discipline, two render grammars. Build accordingly.
## QC GATE (2026-09-02, Kirk directive)
Every episode passes a multimodal QC review before "shipped" may be claimed: frames extracted, episode VIEWED by an independent multimodal reviewer subagent (SA-QC-VIS), scored on the 10-dimension rubric in **`C:/DandyDon/smm/QC_GATE.md`** (engagement, educational quality, audio quality, visual quality, visual relevance to the topic at that moment, duration/sync integrity, receipt legibility, presenter discipline, fact spot-check, platform-cut QA). Ship = overall >= 7.0, no dimension < 6, zero hard-fails (magenta frames, mono audio, unreadable receipts, wrong-subject b-roll = auto-fail). Receipt: `smm/receipts/QC_<show>_<ep>_<date>.md`. QC-FAIL feeds the remediation loop with the LAWBE-format frame table. The renderer doesn't verify the renderer - the reviewer rides a different substrate than the compositor.
