## 2. STATE TODAY

- **Exists:** section skeleton only. Plan JSON is sound structure (OPEN ×1, PRESENTER ×3, NARRATOR ×3, CLOSE ×1; purposes named per segment: hook / mechanism / evidence blocks A+B / impact / bridge / conclusion / CTA). Every text field empty by design; narration is a later pass.
- **Stale/broken:** (a) `ref_video` glob matches zero files — SA-PRES blocked until fixed; (b) queue stub job_id=1 must be re-queued with real script text per handoff doc; (c) every `receipt_hook` in the plan points at the Media Matters hub page — Tier-2 only, cannot bear factual claims alone (E1).
- **Missing from zero:** script_segments.json (the plan JSON is the episode_plan; the presenter router reads `<show_dir>/script_segments.json` — does not exist yet), factbase lines, all TTS/visual/presenter assets, all receipts.

### LENS 1 — EDU (E1–E6 against this episode's facts)

- **E3–E6 (load/generation/anchors/transport):** one idea per 90s beat; the amplification map is the recurring comprehension device; every reach number ACQUISITION-GATED (series blocker RWT-B5) — no "reached millions" line airs on a guess.

### LENS 2 — ENT (T1–T8 beat map, ep1 skeleton)
- **T1 (0:00–0:03):** real Breitbart page/headline verbatim on screen, contradicted by its own or a court's later text, question over it. No preamble.
- **T2:** SPIN/FRAME/RECEIPT lower-thirds on every claim, E7 tags per §4 below.
- **T3/T8:** presenter beside docs, ≤18% share; 3 PRESENTER slots already routed in the receipt.
- **T4:** 8 segments already sketched in plan purposes; each ends gap-turn + sting + zoom to next receipt. 12–15 min master per pitch → 8–10 × ~95–110s.
- **T5:** verdict wall = amplification map + retraction record stamped.
- **T6:** "The Narrative" muffled treatment on the outlet page; "The Receipt" crisp+hit on court/retraction text.
- **T7:** one Spot-the-Spin challenge: show a headline BEFORE naming the technique.

## 4. CRAFT LAYER (per-outlet application; all items ACQUISITION-GATED until factbase lands)

- **Pretest hook (E1×T1), drafted now, number ACQUISITION-GATED:** show one Breitbart headline verbatim (Tier-1 archive capture), then: *"This framing appeared on Breitbart [N] times in [period]. Before I tell you where else it showed up — mainstream networks? cable panels? Congress? Pick one."* Wrong plausible answer on screen: "It stayed on Breitbart." Reveal = the amplification map. N and period come from the factbase only; if unavailable, air the question without the count.
- **Gap ledger (E2×T4):** open = "how does a fringe framing end up in the middle of the conversation?"; hold = each amplification hop names the remaining hop; close = retraction/impact record verdict.
- **Amplification-map beat (signature move):** outlet → platforms/feeds → mainstream pickup, per node sourced. Station B in §series anatomy.
- **"Who funds/carries it" card:** ownership/funding lines ACQUISITION-GATED; ship the card with only sourced lines (series rule §6.2).
- **Math beat (E4):** repetition-velocity count — "[N] versions of this framing between [dates]" inputs on screen, 2s pause, compute with viewer. Both inputs from factbase or the beat ships qualitative.
- **Anchor conversion (E5):** any count gets a frequency anchor ("about one every [X] days") computed from two factbase numbers only.
- **E7 technique tags:** **cherry-pick** (isolated anecdotes framing a group), **anecdote-as-data**, **single-source breath** (one anonymous claim repeated as established), **missing base rate** (crime/anecdote shares without rates). Labels appear on the receipts that answer them.
- **Steelman staging (E8×T3):** outlet's own frame: "We don't make it up — we report what's being said." Honored verbatim on screen if captured (else attributed as described), then answered with THEIR retraction/correction record (Station D): a "just reporting" defense tested against the record of what they had to walk back.
- **One-ask close (E10×CLOSE):** one action: *check one claim against its receipt before sharing it — comment the receipt if you find the retraction.* No suppression ask (manifest note, verbatim in §6 BLOCKERS).
- **E9 tease:** EP2 gap: *"Next: an outlet with zero original reporting and maximum framing power — Liberty Daily. The selector is the editor."*

- **EP1-B2 — Tier-2-only receipts:** plan's `receipt_hook` is the Media Matters hub. May locate, may not bear the claims alone.
- **EP1-B3 — presenter ref video glob matches 0 files:** set a real path before SA-PRES. (Series RWT-B3.)
- **EP1-B4 — queue stub job_id=1:** re-queue with real script only after SA-SCR.
- **EP1-B5 — defamation-adjacent discipline (binding, carried from manifest note verbatim):** *"This is a media-criticism series, not a call to censor.
