## 2. STATE TODAY

- **Exists:** nothing episode-specific. Manifest row + pitch line + ProPublica locator only.
- **Scope-from-zero checklist (in order):** (1) SA-RES factbase block; (2) `ep3_oann/` dir + `episode_plan_ep3_oann.json` mirroring the ep1/ep2 8-section contract (OPEN ×1, PRESENTER ×3, NARRATOR ×3, CLOSE ×1, purposes named); (3) add EP3 to `PRESENTER_ROUTING_RECEIPT.json` episodes array (3 presenter segment IDs); (4) everything downstream.
- **Note of record:** `PRODUCTION_PLAN_2026-08-25.md` names OANN as "first three episodes" member #3; manifest numbers it ep3. Match the manifest (this worksheet).

## 3. DUAL-LENS READ

### LENS 1 — EDU
- **E1:** broadcast receipts have a capture problem — TV claims need timestamped segment video/audio captures + transcripts, not just page captures. Factbase spec for EP3: per claim, capture (a) the on-air segment (timestamp + program), (b) verbatim transcript quote, (c) archive of any written companion post. ProPublica piece LOCATES the January 6 reporting trail; the claims themselves must trace to captures.
- **E2 framing mandates:** never "OANN said the election was stolen" as a paraphrase blanket — air the specific segment claim verbatim, dated, captured. Walk-backs quoted verbatim. Impact claims (what officials/viewers did) trace to filings or documented events, named as secondary when secondhand.
- **E3–E6:** the "broadcast vs reality" contrast is the comprehension device; the TV-graphics aesthetic of the receipts themselves does the teaching.

### LENS 2 — ENT
- **T1:** 0:00–0:03 = an actual OANN chyron/lower-third verbatim on screen, with the contradicting text (court filing or their own walk-back) stamped over it. The T6 contrast is native here: TV gloss muffled → receipt crisp.
- **T2:** label machine with EP3 tags (§4).
- **T3/T8:** presenter beside the broadcast-frame receipts; ≤18%.
- **T4:** 90s rhythm = one broadcast claim per segment: the set (how it feels) → the text (what it says) → the record (what it did) → the walk-back.
- **T5:** verdict wall = chyron gallery + walk-back record, stamped.
- **T7:** Spot-the-Spin: play 5 seconds of a claim AS BROADCAST — viewer guesses what the fine print/retraction says — reveal.

## 4. CRAFT LAYER

- **Pretest hook (E1×T1), drafted now:** show the OANN set shot + chyron: *"This looks like a news report — anchor, graphics, banner. How many of the 'facts' in this report can you verify from the segment itself? Guess: all / half / almost none."* Wrong plausible answer: "It looks official, so it's checked." Reveal = the claim's trail (no primary source → later walk-back/receipt).
- **Gap ledger:** open = "what makes a claim on TV feel true?"; hold = each segment example names what was missing behind the broadcast certainty; close = walk-back record verdict.
- **Amplification-map beat:** studio → cable/stream carriage → social clips of the segment → officialdom pickup. The map's moral: a TV studio multiplies reach without adding verification.
- **"Who funds/carries it" card:** carriage (carriers/streaming tiers) + ownership/funding lines ACQUISITION-GATED; card ships with sourced lines only.
- **Math beat (E4):** ACQUISITION-GATED — if carriage/carrier counts land in factbase, compute "carried into [N] homes"; else the math beat becomes the segment-claim count ("this one narrative aired [N] times in [period]" from factbase only), else qualitative.
- **Anchor conversion (E5):** any count gets frequency/share anchor computed from two factbase numbers.
- **E7 technique tags:** **false attribution** (presenting sourced-from-nothing claims as "reports say"), **single-source breath**, **anecdote-as-data** (witness-claim montage), **motivated timing** (claims spiking around certification dates — tag only if factbase dates support it).
- **Steelman staging (E8×T3):** OANN's own framing: "We're the only unbiased network" (their on-air slogan — capture verbatim for the factbase; if the capture fails, describe, don't quote). Honored, then answered with the walk-back/retraction record: unbiased is a claim about their record, testable against it.
- **One-ask close (E10):** *next time a "report" feels true because it looks produced, screenshot it and find the underlying document — comment what you found or didn't.* No suppression ask.
- **E9 tease:** EP4 gap: *"Next: an outlet whose headline followed two election workers home. The Gateway Pundit — where a smear went to court."*

## 5. STEPS

Same chain as EP1/EP2 worksheets, with EP3 deltas:

- **SA-RES:** factbase OANN block: captured segments (timestamp/program/verbatim) + walk-back texts + ProPublica locator; ≥3 Tier-1 capture-sets.
- **SA-PLAN (new for scoped-from-zero eps):** create `ep3_oann/` + `episode_plan_ep3_oann.json` (8-section contract, purposes named, real ref-video path — NOT the broken glob) + register EP3 in `PRESENTER_ROUTING_RECEIPT.json`.
- **SA-SCR:** every broadcast claim cites capture-set line; walk-back quoted verbatim; 12–15 min band.
- **SA-CARD:** chyron-recreation cards MUST be labeled "recreation of OANN graphic, [date]" — never pass a recreation off as capture.
- **SA-PRES:** needs real ref video (see blocker).
- **SA-PUB:** `episode_oann.json` + `_broadcast_oann.json`.

**QC GATE (2026-09-02):** After SA-QC-FINAL, executor **SA-QC-VIS** runs the multimodal QC gate (C:/DandyDon/smm/QC_GATE.md): frames extracted, the rendered master VIEWED by an independent multimodal reviewer and scored on the 10-dimension rubric (engagement, educational quality, audio quality, visual quality, visual relevance, duration/sync integrity, receipt legibility, presenter discipline, fact-accuracy spot-check, platform-cut QA). PASS thresholds: ≥7.0 overall / no dimension <6 / zero hard-fails. Receipt: `smm/receipts/QC_series_rightwing_threat_EP3_<date>.md` — REQUIRED for ship.

## 6. PRESENTER PLAN

- **Route:** NOT YET PINNED — `PRESENTER_ROUTING_RECEIPT.json` covers ep1/ep2 only; SA-PLAN registers EP3 (3 PRESENTER segment IDs, `ep3_oann/presenter_clips/`, 1080×1080, voice `sasha`).
- **Slot assignment:** slot 1 = "what makes a claim on TV feel true" hook beside the chyron receipt; slot 2 = amplification-map walk + slogan steelman face-to-face; slot 3 = walk-back-record beat + one-ask close.
- **Share budget:** 3 slots ≤18% of master; slot lengths locked at SA-SCR, verified at composite.
- **BLOCKED on RWT-B3:** set a REAL ref-video path at plan creation — do not inherit the ep1/ep2 glob that matches 0 files.

## 7. BLOCKERS

- **EP3-B1 — scoped from zero:** no dir, no plan, no routing entry — all three before any downstream step. (Series RWT-B1 for the factbase part.)
- **EP3-B2 — broadcast capture burden:** TV segment captures are harder than page captures; if a segment capture fails, the claim is NOT aired (E1). ProPublica may locate, not substitute.
- **EP3-B3 — defamation-adjacent discipline (binding, manifest note verbatim):** *"This is a media-criticism series, not a call to censor. The goal is to name amplification mechanics and hold the behavior to receipts, not silence opposition."* Broadcast claims are quoted as broadcast; no censorship/deplatform asks; verdict language from walk-backs and documented record. - **EP3-B4 — ref video:** set a real path at SA-PLAN; do not inherit the broken ep1/ep2 glob. (Series RWT-B3.)
