"I fought back and won." That's Ken Paxton, Republican, Attorney General of Texas, in his own press release about his settlement with Google. Google admitted no liability, and its spokesperson calls it a raft of old claims about policies Google says it already revised. Same settlement. Two stories.

Episode 3 of The Attorney Generally Indicted puts the press release next to the rest of the record: - The Google settlement: "historic" and "won" are his words. Google's word is "old." - The Medicaid release: "launched," "will leverage." Future tense. That's not a verdict. - The Texas First Data Center Plan, next to the data center sales tax exemption he voted for as a freshman state senator. - The Texas House impeachment, and Rep. Jeff Leach, Republican, who helped oversee it and now says he'll vote for Paxton.
